About the Role
Ondo is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, scale, and maintain a soon-to-be-announced core blockchain infrastructure layer. This 0-to-1 project has the potential to impact millions of users and developers worldwide. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in building secure, high-performance infrastructure that can scale to meet growing demand. Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate the value and functionality of your work are essential.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Implement improvements to optimize system scalability, performance, and fault tolerance
ā¢ Design and manage internal pipelines that automate build/test/deploy of key Ondo infrastructureĀ
ā¢ Proactively handle incident response, investigate root causes, and resolve issues related to Ondo infrastructure with appropriate urgencyĀ
ā¢ Create a monitoring/alerting/on-call system to ensure Ondo infrastructure has optimal availability and performance
ā¢ Drive strategic technical decisions for the infrastructure roadmap, overall tech stack, and engineering practices
ā¢ Collaborate with protocol and smart contract engineers to integrate nodes and other relevant services
Requirements
ā¢ 3+ years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure or DevOps Engineering roles
ā¢ Based in a U.S. time zone (PT, MT, CT, or ET)
ā¢ Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and implementation in automated deployments
ā¢ Demonstrated experience with cloud computing platforms (ex. GCP, AWS) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
ā¢ Expertise in observability best practices and monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, DataDog, Grafana)
ā¢ Demonstrated experience in deploying, operating, and optimizing high-performance, large-scale blockchain infrastructure including blockchain nodes
ā¢ Experience with at least 1 of EVM or Cosmos SDK blockchain ecosystems
ā¢ Experience with Linux, cloud networking, and containerization technology like DockerĀ
ā¢ Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills, both verbal and written
Nice to haves
ā¢ Experience with at least one orchestration platform (e.g., Kubernetes)
ā¢ Familiarity with Python, Rust, Go, and/or Solidity
