Job Overview:
The Area Site Manager will be responsible for managing the operations in the Middle Tennessee area, as well as managing a team of technicians. This position works as an integral part of a larger team who provides 24/7 coverage and support for the mining centers and assists the engineering and facilities teams in their efforts.
This role will primarily support our Onedia, Winfield, West Crossville, Campbell Junction and Decatur locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regional Oversight:Â
- Manage day-to-day operations for multiple sites within the assigned region.Â
- Ensure all sites align with company standards, policies, and performance goals.Â
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor operations and address concerns.Â
- Operational Excellence:
- Oversee site performance in areas such as production, safety, quality, and maintenance.Â
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.Â
- Ensure timely resolution of operational issues and implement best practices.Â
- Team Leadership and Development:Â
- Lead, mentor, and support Site Managers and direct reports.Â
- Set performance goals for site teams and conduct regular evaluations.Â
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.Â
- Budget and Resource Management:Â
- Manage site budgets and resource allocation.Â
- Work with finance and corporate teams to develop budgets and monitor expenditures.Â
- Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining safety and performance standards.Â
- Health, Safety, and Compliance:Â
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations at all sites.Â
- Conduct regular safety audits and address any issues.Â
- Promote a culture of safety and accountability across all locations.Â
- Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Serve as the liaison between site teams and corporate departments such as HR, IT, and Maintenance.Â
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure proper site support and resources.
- Â Reporting and Metrics:
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, such as production output, safety records, and financials.Â
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership with recommendations for improvements.Â
- Problem Solving and Decision Making:
- Serve as the primary decision-maker for operational issues in the region.Â
- Troubleshoot problems as they arise and implement long-term solutions.Â
- Escalate critical issues to corporate leadership when necessary. Â
- Employee Relations & Performance Management:Â
- Handle employee relations, including disciplinary actions and terminations, in accordance with company policies and procedures.Â
- Foster a culture of accountability and ensure that performance expectations are clearly communicated and met.Â
- Performs other duties as assignedÂ
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (8+ years) in multi-site management, with a strong background in operations, preferably in a facilities, industrial, or manufacturing environment.Â
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or equivalent is a plus).Â
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams across multiple locations, with strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.Â
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and operational mindset, with a history of implementing process improvements and driving operational success.Â
- Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and understanding P&L statements.Â
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration.Â
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations, compliance, and best practices in a multi-site environment.Â
- Ability to travel regularly across the region to oversee multiple sites (up to 50% travel may be required).Â
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience managing within the facility infrastructure or data center industry.Â
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with a focus on scaling operations.Â
- Project management experience and proficiency with operational tools and software.Â
