We are seeking a new trader within our discretionary crypto group to continue our growth. This position can be based remotely from Switzerland or hybrid from the office in Baar.
The crypto discretionary portfolio leverages the research department's outputs, including signals and algorithms, to provide a clear framework and guidelines. We aim to combine a systematic approach, developed in-house, with cross-asset market analysis to gain deeper insights, understand market drivers, and anticipate changes in the crypto structure. We create frameworks that help us understand the crypto environment, enabling us to utilise market conditions by identifying and acting on opportunities fully.
What you’ll be doing:Â
As a Trader at Swissblock, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and monitoring the execution of orders, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, Swissblock policies, procedures, and risk management practices.
- Monitoring pricing, trading systems, trade flow and liquidity.
- Provide the Portfolio Manager with market commentary, feedback where necessary and advice on traded and open positions.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, such as finance, technology, and research, to improve the fund's services and performance.
- Gathering, analyzing, and disseminating market, sector and instrument information that identifies or creates actionable investment opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and assist the portfolio manager in creating and testing asset allocation strategies.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in economics, finance or business administration.
- Proven experience trading with cryptocurrencies or traditional assets for at least three years.
- Excellent quantitative skills, well-organized and structured.
- Strong passion and excellent understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies.
- A dedicated and proactive approach, consistently demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a readiness to tackle challenging tasks.
