WHAT YOU WILL DO
Conduct end-to-end investigations of transaction monitoring alerts, including research, analysis, documentation, and case disposition with clear, well-supported rationale. Identify potentially suspicious activity and escalate in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), including clear, concise, and well-supported narratives, and provide recommendations for filing. Support OFAC-related investigations and sanctions compliance requirements, including screening escalations and reporting obligations. Assist with responses to regulatory exams, audits, and internal reviews, including information gathering, documentation, and follow-up actions. Support state licensing and Money Transmitter License (MTL) reporting obligations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Respond to due diligence (DD) requests from partners, banks, and other stakeholders, ensuring accurate and complete information is provided. Investigate and respond to customer complaints and law enforcement inquiries, including 314(a) and 314(b) requests, ensuring proper documentation and escalation where required. Maintain accurate and complete records within case management and compliance systems. Assist the BSA Officer and broader Compliance team with risk assessments, including data collection, analysis, and documentation. Support ongoing compliance reporting obligations, including preparation of metrics, dashboards, and management reporting. Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of policies, procedures, and internal controls. Partner with cross-functional teams including Legal, Product, Operations, and Customer Support to support compliance requirements and resolve issues. Assist with issue management tracking, including remediation of audit findings and internal control gaps. Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives across the compliance program, demonstrating flexibility to support evolving business needs.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED Required
Above all, integrity β the foundation for every role at Blockchain.com. 2β4 years of experience in BSA/AML compliance, financial crimes investigations, or a related field. Working knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, including SAR requirements and OFAC obligations. Experience conducting investigations and/or supporting compliance operations in a regulated environment. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess transactional activity and identify potential risk. Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise investigative summaries and SAR narratives. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and support a wide range of compliance activities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred
Experience in fintech, digital assets, or banking environments. Familiarity with transaction monitoring systems, sanctions screening tools, and case management platforms. Exposure to regulatory exams, audits, or licensing processes. CAMS or other relevant financial crimes certifications (or in progress).
