About the Opportunity
As the Senior Director/ Vice President of Product Design, you will be responsible for building and nurturing a stronger product design team, leading the team in developing and implementing a global design strategy to drive innovation in product experience and business growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Management, and R&D, to ensure that design solutions meet market demands and align with the company's overall business objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and implement a global design strategy, aligned with the company’s long-term goals and vision.
- Manage and guide the design team, fostering innovative thinking and improving design quality.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure the effective implementation of design strategies and concepts.
- Responsible for the recruitment, training, and development of the design team.
- Drive and maintain design consistency, ensuring all outputs comply with brand standards.
- Regularly review and optimize design processes to ensure efficiency and high-quality outputs.
- Monitor the latest design trends and competitive dynamics to ensure the company remains competitive in the industry.
What We Look For In You
- At least 10 years of design experience, with at least 5 years in a management position.
- Deep experience in product design, copy design, design systems, and branding, able to provide best practices and high-level insights in terms of quality and efficiency.
- Extensive experience leading cross-regional and cross-cultural teams, with strong cultural sensitivity and adaptability to various working cultures.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent stress management skills, capable of handling challenges from multiple aspects and dimensions simultaneously.
- Bilingual communication abilities (English, Chinese).
