Quality Assurance / Automation SDET (remote)

Bitcoin Depot is seeking a Quality Assurance /Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to work closely with the IT development team, product and cross-functional teams within Bitcoin Depot to deliver quality driven and scalable products. In this role, you will gain understanding of systems or products you are assigned and develop automation end to end and performance testing based on build and sprint release process. Additionally, you will demonstrate knowledge and experience with test automation development for smoke testing, regression testing, performance testing and development of test plan and test cases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts - integrated with CI/CD systems - with reliable, repeatable test results
• Development of test plans and test cases for both automation/manual but primary focus on automation
• Perform functional, integration, performance, load and security testing
• Provide testing results
• Interface with scrum team to understand requirements and define testing scope
• Identify opportunities to drive automation and process improvement across the Bitcoin Depot systems and product
• Champion and drive adoption around newly implemented standard procedures, code quality, and maintainability

Qualifications

• Ability to develop test methodologies, frameworks, and documentation to achieve both technical and business objectives
• Experience using Selenium and various automated testing frameworks such as, WebDriver, Cucumber, and/or Appium
• 3+ years working Python, JavaScript frameworks, Docker
• Experience working with writing SQL scripts and working with database (Postgres, Mongo)
• Hands-on experience with automated testing of web applications, database and mobile apps
• Understanding of Agile development methodology
• Experience working with Jira
• Exceptional communication skills; experience working cross-functionally
• Test mindset; is curious and can come up with interesting test scenarios
• 3+ years recently working in software QA automation
