Full-Stack Software Engineer
What You'll Do
- Ship End-to-End Features: Take features from concept to production. You'll be in product discussions, write both frontend and backend code, deploy to production, and monitor how it performs.
- Move Fast, Break Nothing (Important): Launch features quickly, collaborate with the product team to get feedback from esports teams, iterate based on real usage. We'd rather ship something good today than something perfect in three weeks.
- Be Product-Minded: You're not just implementing specs. You'll be in the room when we're figuring out what to build. Your technical insight will shape what we ship.
- Work Across the Stack: Frontend (React, Next.js), Backend (Nest.js, PostgreSQL), APIs, integrations, deployments - you'll touch it all.
- Understand the Product: We're building for esports teams and gaming brands. You don't need to be a hardcore gamer, but you should understand why gamification matters and what makes fans engage.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with React/Next.js (frontend) and Node.js/Nest.js (backend)
- Comfortable with PostgreSQL, TypeScript, AWS/cloud infrastructure
- Startup experience or mentality - you've shipped fast in resource-constrained environments
- Product mindset - you think about user problems, not just technical implementation
- Genuine interest in gaming/esports - you understand the space we're playing in
Nice-To-Have
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines
- Built features involving gamification, rewards systems, or community engagement
- Worked with third-party API integrations (Discord, Twitter, Steam, etc.)
- Previous experience at a fast-growing startup
- Comfortable with designing and maintaining APIs
What You'll Get
- 💰 Competitive salary + XBG token package (you'll have skin in the game)
- 🎮 Weekly gaming sessions with the team and community
- ✈️ Bi-yearly team retreats + financial support for conferences and events
- 🌍 Full remote flexibility (work from anywhere)
What does a full stack developer in web3 do?
A full stack web3 developer is a developer who has expertise in the full stack of technologies that are used to build web3 applications
These applications use the decentralized, distributed nature of the web3 network to provide users with a secure and decentralized way of accessing and interacting with online services and applications. The responsibilities of a full stack web3 developer will vary depending on the specific project and the needs of the team they are working with
In general, though, a full stack web3 developer will be responsible for: designing and building the front-end and back-end of web3 applications, as well as implementing and maintaining the underlying blockchain infrastructure
This will often involve working with a variety of different technologies and programming languages, such as Solidity for smart contract development, JavaScript and HTML for front-end development, and various blockchain protocols and frameworks. Additionally, a full stack web3 developer may also be responsible for working with the web3 community to help drive adoption and integration of web3 technologies, as well as staying up-to-date on the latest developments in the field and contributing to the broader web3 ecosystem.
