At OpenZeppelin, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As part of our People Operations team, you’ll help support a fully distributed group of 130+ teammates across the globe.

We’re a small but high-impact team, and we’re looking for someone who’s eager to learn and grow with us. In this People Analyst role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth and accurate international payroll, while also assisting with essential HR operations that keep things running day to day.

You don’t need to know everything yet. This is an entry level role and we’re looking for someone who’s highly detail-oriented, values confidentiality, works well with others, and is genuinely curious about how people systems work behind the scenes. If you’re interested in growing your career in People Operations, we’d love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for our team across various countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
  • Maintain and update payroll and employee records in our HRIS, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and timely resolution of any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with external partners, including PEOs and EORs, to manage various employment arrangements.
  • Respond to team members inquiries related to payroll, providing clear and supportive communication.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth experience for team members.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in administering employee benefits and ensuring compliance with international labor laws.
  • You'll also have the opportunity to support additional People team projects as they come up, depending on your interests and team priorities.

You have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English (our working language).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team.

Nice to have

  • Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems (Deel and/or Rippling is a plus).
  • Internship or prior experience in a payroll or HR support role.
  • Familiarity with various employment types, including PEO, EOR, and contractor arrangements.
  • Passion about the blockchain space and decentralization.

Location

  • We’re looking to fill this position globally, with a preference for candidates located in the UTC-4 to UTC+4 time zones.
