Ankr was founded in 2017 in Berkeley, California. The founding team and headquarters are based in San Francisco. Ankr has a distributed team of over 150+ people operating remotely and from San Francisco, Shanghai, Moscow, and Amsterdam offices.

As a member of Ankr's Platform Engineering team, you will work on:
- A global load balancer for our RPC products
- Host firewall and network configuration across our server fleet
- Service discovery for our application layer
- DCIM and IPAM for our infrastructure
- Monitoring the health of our network and servers
- Maintaining relationships with colo and transit providers
Useful Skills:
- Working knowledge of routing protocols like BGP and OSPF
- Working knowledge of Linux firewalls like iptables or nftables
- Working knowledge of reverse proxies like Envoy, Nginx, or Traefik
- Working knowledge of orchestration systems like Kubernetes or Nomad
- Experience writing Ansible playbooks or Python scripts for automation
- Experience with dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 and IPv6-only networks
You need:
- The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- A willingness to learn and work on projects outside your typical skillset
- A systems engineering mindset to see how many disparate systems work together
