Sr. Engineering Manager - NFT and checkout teams:
As we grow to achieve our mission, we’re looking to add a highly customer-focussed, mission driven, and technical engineering manager to lead our NFT and checkout engineering teams. The NFT team is a full-stack engineering team responsible for core services that super-powers our global market with NFTs. The checkout team builds market leading customer facing web applications to help our business excel. We utilize cloud native tools and services like CircleCI, Kubernetes, LaunchDarkly, Datadog, and Amazon Web Services to build resilient and scalable applications that accommodate our rapid growth. As a Full Stack team leader, you will lead a team of full stack professionals to design and implement innovative technology solutions to critical business challenges. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, SaaS vendors, and business stakeholders throughout the entire development lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of ~20 developers composed of backend and frontend engineers
- Define and own objectives and key metrics for your team, and devise an execution strategy and roadmap to achieve them
- Mentor and grow engineers to help them reach their career goals
- Hands on technical leader willing to roll up their sleeves if needed to address an operational issue and maintain a high bar on code reviews
- Partner with peers in product management and leadership to craft and evolve the team’s vision, mission, and strategy.
- Hire to build an inclusive and high performing team
About you
- 5+ years of engineering experience in cloud technologies: AWS, serverless, React, nodeJs, GraphQL, microservices, etc.
- 3+ years of people management experience
- You possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- You are able to weigh several and often conflicting constraints and make rapid choices using data in a fast-moving and quickly-growing company.
- BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Preferred work experience in a hyper growth startup environment
