Key Responsibilities
Platform Design and Architecture:
- Lead the design and architecture of the data platform including third-party & inhouse platforms, ensuring it meets current and future business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable solutions.
Data Integration and ETL Processes:
- Oversee the development and maintenance of robust data integration and ETL processes.
- Ensure seamless data flow between different systems and sources.
Platform Optimisation and Performance:
- Implement and maintain best practices for data storage, retrieval, and processing to optimize platform performance.
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary improvements.
Data Governance and Security:
- Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, accuracy.
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data within the data platform.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide scalable solutions.
- Communicate platform updates, changes, and improvements to relevant stakeholders.
Vendor Management:
- Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors providing data platform solutions.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies related to data platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (3 years+) in data platform management, including design, implementation, and optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of data architecture, ETL processes, and data integration.
- Familiarity with data security, governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
