We’re seeking a talented and mission-oriented Technical Project Manager to join our remote-first team at Trust Machines and help us contribute to the Stacks and Bitcoin ecosystems. In this role, you will work closely with the engineering team and stakeholders to plan, manage and execute building-related projects and scale the sBTC project. You will oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and delivery schedules and maintain communication with all project stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage the successful execution of engineering projects related to the sBTC project.
  • Monitor and report project progress, risks, and issues, maintaining open communication with stakeholders to ensure they are informed and able to make data-driven decisions
  • Work closely with the engineering team and stakeholders to plan, manage, and execute projects related to building and scaling the sBTC project.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets for all active projects, allocating resources effectively and efficiently to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Continuously optimize project processes and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery across the organization.
  • Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and best practices across the organization, providing technical guidance and support to project teams as needed.
  • Allocate resources effectively and efficiently to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, design, and marketing, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders to provide regular project updates and identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members, coordinating project meetings such as status updates, sprint planning, and retrospectives to resolve conflicts, address resource constraints, and align priorities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical project manager in a related field, such as software development, engineering, or IT
  • Strong understanding of Bitcoin, blockchain technology, decentralized systems, and Stacks related technologies
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and the ability to work closely with developers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Familiarity with project management software, such as Asana or Jira.
  • Experience managing remote teams is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment.

We’d Also Like to See:

  • Familiarity with distributed systems software, such as consensus protocols or large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience working on or contributing to open-source projects.
  • Experience with monitoring and testing practices.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and their interpreters, compilers, and static analysis.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
