About The Role:
You will be a key early hire joining our core blockchain engineering team focused on Polymer Labs products. You will apply your experience in web2 on both OSS work around IBC (https://ibcprotocol.org/) and the core Polymer protocol. Web3 and blockchain experience is explicitly not required but is a strong plus.
You Will:
- Own the vision, strategy, and outcomes for Polymer Labsâ products which enables trust-minimized interoperability.
- Engage directly with partners, budding projects, and multiple ecosystems to ensure Polymerâs innovations in IBC serve the industry and establish it as the standard interoperability protocol across all chains.
- Research and describe end user needs, and how they would leverage the Platform
- Drive prioritization and alignment with internal and external partner teams to deliver on the vision.
- Define product proposals and specifications for features and enhancements, describing the problem, solution, and what success looks like.
- Collaborate with Operations & Engineering to ensure all teams are aligned on product definition, development, cross-team go-to-market plans and post release monitoring.
- Define analytics requirements and KPIs for measuring the performance and success of Platform services.
What You Will Achieve:
- In the first month, you will build a deep understanding of Polymer Labâs core protocol/products and begin contributing to documentation of the product. You will have time to learn about the space, our customerâs needs, and the underlying technology.
- Within 2 months, you will be fully integrated into the team and begin to set the vision and strategy for Polymer Labsâ products. Success looks like sustainable growth and scaling the adoption of Polymerâs stack.
You Have:
- 3-7+ years of Product Management experience with strong technical knowledge and understanding of systems and engineering concepts.
- Youâve got a passion for building scalable platforms that create high leverage and value for internal customers.
- Youâve got extensive experience working across a large and diverse group of technical customers.
- You are a strong, concise writer - youâve written high-level strategy documents as well as detailed specifications for technical products.
- Youâve been a Product Owner in an Agile development environment, having gone through the full development lifecycle from specification through live operations and data analysis.
- Web3 experience is a bonus.
About The Team:
- The engineering team is a diverse group of people with backgrounds working at a variety of both web2 and web3 organizations like Google, Uber, Chronosphere, Arista Networks, etc. Polymer Labs is a software development shop supporting the Polymer protocol and IBC (https://ibcprotocol.org/).
Our Benefits:
- Competitive salary, equity/token grants, incentive compensation
- Autonomous, distributed work environment collaborating with a diverse, global team
- Opportunity to shape and contribute to industry-disrupting infrastructure
- A place to openly learn bleeding edge innovation in a fast growing industry
- Health insurance coverage
- Free lunches
Polymer Labs is an equal opportunity employer. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't line up exactly with the job description.
