Overview of Role 

We are seeking an experienced part-time eCommerce Product Manager with the ability to work independently on a contract basis (15-20 hours a week). The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in managing complex projects, working with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality results within deadlines. This role will partner closely with the Head of Product and CEO to develop product strategies and requirements.

About Heretic 

Heretic Ventures is a San Francisco-based venture studio ideating and launching new businesses in the creator economy, including those that capitalize on AI/ML technology. Heretic is run by Managing Partner Mariam Naficy, who founded and built the pioneering internet companies Minted and Eve.com. Heretic is backed by household names in Silicon Valley (investors and entrepreneurs), who act as the studio’s advisors both in selecting and in advising companies.

Responsibilities

    • Oversee the planning, implementation, and completion of eCommerce platform projects, such as payout systems, CMS platform, shipping providers, and third-party integrations
    • Apply SEO best practices and integrate digital marketing tools to boost traffic and sales.
    • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
    • Enhance the speed, reliability, and scalability of the eCommerce platform to ensure an exceptional user experience.

Qualifications

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on eCommerce platforms.
    • Strong understanding of eCommerce technologies, platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce), and integrations with third-party services.
    • Demonstrated success in launching and optimizing products.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
