Summary

Reporting to the Director of Product, the Head of Product will accelerate building a world class product function. This role will oversee product and design, foster close collaboration with our engineering team and drive product excellence. Ideally you are an accomplished product leader with demonstrable experience scaling best-in-class SaaS products. This is your opportunity to make a real impact on a dynamic, rapidly growing industry.

Role Responsibilities

We are looking for someone to operate in a hybrid hands-on product/team management role that will include:

  • Engaging directly with users to define product requirements & features.
  • Working closely with our engineering development department to oversee & drive product change.
  • Line management of the product management & product design teams (covering all aspects of goal setting, performance review and day to day management)
  • Analysing & improving product management processes - we want someone who can bring & implement industry best practice and who can create excellence in ‘how’ we do product management.
  • Acting as a conduit for user feedback and using that data to inform product decisions - you will be fully responsible for turning user feedback into a structured and actionable product development plan.
  • Adapt higher level outcomes into team targets: Partner with leadership to break down company level goals into concrete, achievable team goals. Define metrics and KPIs to measure and report progress and impact of your teams. Actively participate in combining our product and business strategies.
  • Build strong cross-organisational relationships: ensure seamless communication and alignment between product, design, engineering, sales, hacker and customer success.
  • Working with our Technical Project Management function to define & run sprint planning & execution activities.
  • Taking responsibility for understanding resource capacity and adjusting workload to effectively deliver on the highest priority items to drive our product forward.

Applicant Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on software product management experience, working within an agile environment, in cross-functional teams at a scale-up or fast growing organisation
  • 3+ years in product leadership, managing, hiring and developing several product managers and designers
  • Ideally, you have SaaS or B2B experience. You also understand the complexities of building a suite of products for both SMB and Enterprise customers
  • Ability to use qualitative and quantitative insights to define strategy, goals and roadmaps that address the opportunities you identify
  • You are comfortable taking decisions and solving problems in unstructured, complex situations. You should be able to carve out a clear path in seemingly chaotic situations.
  • You are able to move forward to learn fast when data or research might be difficult to acquire
  • Analytical mind and focus on solving problems elegantly but simply. You are able to analyse and break down large problems to a structured approach, with small actionable steps to achieve your goals
  • In case of limited resources, you instinctively jump hands on into whatever task the team needs help with
  • Demonstrated success in managing people and leading cross-functional teams
  • You are committed to mentorship, focusing on the professional growth and development of your team members
