Role Overview

We’re looking for a skilled and driven React Native frontend developer to join our team in Cork. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of iterating on and improving our React Native mobile app.

The mobile app is already built, but we need more hands on deck to polish, implement new features, and make it the best product possible.

This is a great opportunity for someone with high agency, who can quickly learn new techniques as needed and ship features fast.

What You'll Do

• Maintain the Pyra mobile app for iOS and Android in React Native
• Follow Figma designs to build beautiful interfaces through React Native styling (no tailwind)
• Work with our design and backend teams to implement new features
• Ship clean, reliable, and well-tested code to production
• Collaborate closely with team members to deliver excellent user experiences
• Debug tough issues across both platforms
• Stay up to date with best practices in mobile performance, security, and UX
• Help shape the technical direction of the app as it scales
• Write documentation and support internal knowledge sharing

Must Haves

• Strong experience with React Native (not just React) and mobile development
• Solid understanding of TypeScript and modern React patterns
• Good knowledge of CSS
• Familiarity with API design, network requests, and local storage
• Attention to mobile UX and accessibility
• Experience with app release pipelines (TestFlight, App Store, Play Store)
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for building beautiful, high-performance apps

Nice to Haves

• Experience working on secure mobile apps or financial applications
• Knowledge of DeFi, wallets, or crypto protocols
• Familiarity with Solana, smart contracts, and Anchor
• Full-stack experience (e.g., APIs, infra backends, and microservices in Node.js or Rust)
• Exposure to mobile security best practices
• Side projects or open-source contributions
• Interest in financial literacy or helping users grow wealth
• Background in design systems, animations, or performance optimisation
• Experience with CI/CD, feature flagging, or mobile analytics
