Who We Are
The Solana Foundation is a non-profit based in Zug, Switzerland, dedicated to the adoption, decentralization, and security of the Solana network. Solana is a high performance blockchain that can deliver a fast and friendly user experience, without sacrificing security. The Solana Foundation is working to realize a world where individuals own their data, use permissionless networks, and transfer information and value freely around the world. We are looking for talented people who are willing to jump right in and use their expertise to help the ecosystem build.
What We Do
The Ecosystem Engineering team is a horizontal team of strategically deployed engineers that live at the intersection of business, technology, and innovation in the Solana ecosystem. We support teams small and large by providing technical guidance, architecture review, and maximize our leverage by driving adoption of technical public goods through code and coordination.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a software engineer to drive adoption of standards, specifications, and conventions throughout the entire Solana network to improve payments, stablecoins and tokenization! This role will also assist payment-related ecosystem teams in achieving their business goals within the Solana ecosystem.

Supporting ecosystem teams and prospective builders: you will be a technical point-of-contact for processing payments in the Solana ecosystem
Interfacing with developers: you will be collaborating directly with developers building on Solana to receive review, collect their feedback, and inform key payment related development
You ideally have:
3+ years working in blockchain or platform-focused teams building out payment systems at scale
Experience using Rust, Typescript, or other performant languages in a production environment
Established experience with payment systems whether on-chain, or in traditional finance
Experience designing and operating APIs
A deep interest in the impact of blockchain technologies on how money moves globally
Bonus points:
Experience working with the Solana protocol
Understand how the existing corresponding banking system works
Understand how payments are processed by global institutions and international banks
Experience contributing to open-source projects
What does an Solana developer do?
As a Solana developer, your responsibilities would include designing, implementing, and maintaining applications on the Solana blockchain platform using Rust programming language
This would involve using the Solana software development kit (SDK) to write smart contracts and build decentralized applications (dApps) that make use of the platform's features and capabilities
You would also be responsible for ensuring that your dApps are secure, efficient, and scalable, and for testing and debugging your code to ensure its correct behavior
Additionally, you may be involved in the ongoing development and improvement of the Solana platform itself, working with other members of the Solana community to drive innovation and advance the state of blockchain technology.
