As one of our Backend Engineers, you'll be at the forefront of transforming financial services. From architecting robust APIs to implementing scalable solutions that directly impact our users' financial well-being. Working closely with our cross-functional teams including product managers, QA specialists, designers, and customer support, you'll help build the infrastructure that powers our financial platform.

You'll start by owning critical backend features and integrations, growing into architectural leadership based on proven success. Your work will directly enhance our platform's reliability and performance while collaborating on innovative solutions to complex financial challenges. What You'll Do

• Design and implement robust, scalable APIs that power our core financial services
• Build and maintain integrations with various financial service providers and payment systems
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, Design, and Customer Support teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to ensure system reliability and maintainability
• Help optimize our database architecture and query performance
• Support our compliance and security initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience building and maintaining server APIs
• Solid understanding of SQL databases and query optimization
• Professional English communication skills
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Experience with version control systems (Git)

Nice to Have

• Proven track record implementing third-party integrations
• Ruby / Ruby-on-Rails development experience
• Native Spanish proficiency
• Knowledge of or interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology
• DevOps experience or strong interest in infrastructure and deployment
• Background in fintech or financial services
• Understanding of security best practices in financial applications
• Understanding of financial compliance requirements
