Job Summary
We are looking for a Crypto Research Analyst to lead thematic, regulatory, and on-chain research across the digital asset ecosystem. This role focuses on analyzing U.S. crypto regulations, on-chain activity, and emerging token opportunities, including publicly traded crypto-exposed equities. The ideal candidate will combine regulatory literacy, technical fluency, and strong analytical skills to generate actionable insights and support high-conviction investment decisions.
Duties
- Conduct in-depth research on U.S. crypto regulatory frameworks and track legislative or enforcement changes that could impact market structure or specific assets.
- Monitor and analyze on-chain activity across major blockchains
- Produce memos and scenario analysis on legal and regulatory risks across tokens, DeFi, stablecoins, exchanges, staking models, etc.
- Build dashboards and frameworks to identify trends in token flows, whale behaviors, validator/staking economics, and on-chain governance.
- Conduct deep fundamental research on major L1/L2 tokens, protocol tokens, DeFi primitives, and emerging narratives (e.g., restaking, RWAs, DePIN).
- Analyze public equities with crypto exposure (e.g., Coinbase, MicroStrategy, Hut 8, Galaxy Digital), assess business models, regulatory risks, and correlation with digital asset markets.
- Provide guidance to junior analysts and contribute to internal knowledge building (regulatory memos, chain analysis templates, research debriefs, etc.).
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in equity research, investment analysis, or strategic consulting with a focus on crypto sector
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop investment theses and communicate them clearly
- Solid understanding of internet business models and monetization strategies
- Strong modeling and data interpretation skills
- Self-directed, intellectually curious, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
- Master's degree or higher in economics, business, engineering, or related fields; CFA or other credentials are a plus
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Mandarin
