Senior Software Engineer (Backend)
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Crafting High-Quality Code: Utilise Node.js with TypeScript to write clean, scalable, testable, and maintainable code that forms the backbone of our products.
- Technical Leadership: Lead the charge in technical design and implementation, fostering cross-functional collaboration to ensure the delivery of top-tier software products.
- Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and drive innovative solutions.
- Code Review: Conduct comprehensive reviews of code developed by fellow engineers, offering insightful feedback to uphold best practices in terms of accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share your expertise and insights through meticulous technical documentation, articulate write-ups, and engaging technical presentations, contributing to the collective growth and proficiency of our team.
To be successful you will have:
- Prior commercial experience in fast-paced tech environments, ideally within fintech or financial services.
- Exposure to AWS and kubernetes is beneficial, but not essential.
- Experience with guiding and mentoring software engineers, unblocking technical challenges and being an all-around role model.
