Overview This is a multifaceted role, working with both trading and exchange systems within the firm.  The main focus will be to provide and enhance systems to support the internal trading desk, as well as provide support for other systems within the firm as deemed appropriate.  A solid background in financial systems is required (traditional or crypto), with exposure to Algos preferred. Key Responsibilities

Development and enhancement Query Stack components, used to provide data services to both internal and external clients Development and enhancement  of the electronic trading stack components supporting the trading desk Working with traders to enhance existing algo strategies for Market Making  Work closely with DevOps and Ops Support to have sufficient monitoring in place to ensure we are aware of potential issues which could lead to a degraded service.

Qualifications

5+ Years of Java development experience. Understanding of threading models, JVM memory management and optimization. Experience integrating with REST and Websocket APIs. Following TDD/BDD methodologies and clean coding practices. Comfortable working with developer tools such as GIT, Jira and Confluence. Familiar with automated build, test and deployment pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions). Strong problem-solving skills and a confident communicator. Ability to work independently and comfortably to tight schedules. Have worked in a fintech environment

Nice to have

Algorithmic trading experience Exposure to big data - specifically Postgres/RDS databases Experience developing distributed components which communicate over middleware solutions such as ChronicleQueue, NATS, Kafka, TibCo and LBM. Experience developing in Python. Cloud technologies such as docker and k8s, as well as exposure to AWS Understanding of logging, metrics and tracing concepts using tools such as Splunk, ELK stack, Lightstep and TICK stack.
