Market Making Manager Job Description

Responsibilities:

- Manage order books for various trading pairs across crypto exchanges and traditional banks to maintain adequate liquidity levels.
- Analyze trading data and market trends to optimize liquidity provision strategies.
- Coordinate with market-making partners and liquidity providers to ensure a competitive trading environment.
- Monitor trading activity and promptly respond to changes in market conditions.
- Collaborate with the trading desk team to develop and implement effective liquidity management policies.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to enhance liquidity across different trading pairs.
- Work closely with risk management and compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in liquidity management.
- Provide regular reports and analysis to management on liquidity metrics and performance.
- Continuously evaluate and refine liquidity management processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

- Perfect understanding of decentralised AMM markets

- Inventory management for both CEX and DEX markets

- Understanding of blockchain assets safety/security fundamentals

- Work closely with trading venues (CEXs) on joint activities, trading experience enhancements, new listings coordination

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in liquidity management or market-making within cryptocurrency or financial industries.
- Strong understanding of cryptocurrency markets, trading mechanics, and order book dynamics.
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis and statistical modeling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proven track record of optimizing liquidity and managing trading risks successfully.
- Familiarity with crypto and stock market trading platforms and order execution systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) a plus.
