Kiosk is a new Farcaster client where social meets onchain. We want creators to be able to build a community from 0-to-1 all within the app. When onchain social meets onchain commerce, it should be easy to share a media-rich idea with your social graph, make it mintable as an NFT, gather like-minded collectors and collaborators in a channel, establish custom channel economics like tipping and distribution, and chat with your community – all without leaving the app.
We are a small, passionate team based in New York City, with a breadth of experience that has been building in this space for years. We’ve raised $21M in funding led by a16z crypto, Union Square Ventures, Electric Capital and Variant Fund.
You are
An experienced backend engineer with a proven track record of shipping products and navigating ambiguity. You have a passion for engineering practices and consistently improve your craft with like-minded teammates. You are able to work in-person at our office in New York City on a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and execute on our product roadmap
- Discover and evaluate web3 technologies and know when to build using 3rd party APIs or in-house solutions
- Build products on top of our GraphQL API alongside frontend engineers
- Architect backend services that are well-monitored and well-tested
- Improve infrastructure and monitoring consistently
Requirements
- 4+ years writing production software (bonus points for web3 experience)
- Experience building and maintaining a production system at scale
- Are a self-starter in proposing and carrying out technical solutions to ambiguous business problems
- Have a passion for continuously improving dev-ops for yourself and fellow engineers
- Experience with Typescript, Node, AWS
Nice to have
- History of working closely with product and users
- Meaningful open source contributions or public code for us to appreciate
- Experience with monitoring tools (Posthog, NewRelic, ElasticSearch, etc)
- Web3 experience
Salary Range
- $200,000 - $250,000 (based on experience)
