This role focuses on protocol development. Proceed if these things mean anything to you: intents, rollups, precompiles, predeploys, proof systems, EVM, real people using what you’ve built. About Eco: Eco exists to maximize money’s value — to reclaim value lost to the current financial system and make sure crypto and web3 actually bring us money without borders. We expect better from our money, and we want you to as well. That’s what drives us every day. We focus our work on contributing to the new Eco Protocol 👀and building Bend. The Eco Protocol is designed to accelerate how money moves across web3. It aggregates liquidity across valuable payment routes and enables intuitive end user experiences with features like cross-wallet and cross-chain balance aggregation, split second transaction routing, and smart settlement according to user preferences. Bend is the product we build to demonstrate what the protocol makes possible — to show that we can build a seamless payment experience that anyone can use, with web3 today. With both the Eco Protocol and Bend, we continue to push the boundary of what crypto enables and just how powerful the user experience can be — a simple send, whether you’re paying someone, providing liquidity, trying to new dApp, or inviting a friend to crypto for the first time. We’re a team of 20 hell-bent on doing our very best work (individually and together), solving hard problems, staying optimistic, and believing money should be better.Â
If these things excite you, now would be the time to join. Eco is coming.
As a Senior Smart Contract developer at Eco, you will:
Design and implement novel cross-chain proving systems; routing contracts and services; enshrined rollup functionality and VM optimization Conduct threshold-advancing research and proof-of-concept work in these areas Directly influence the protocol roadmap and strategy Be a tech lead Contribute work that both advances the community and that real people can use
We’re looking for you if you have:
At least 4 years of blockchain development experience with a focus on Ethereum Code securing real value somewhere in the ecosystem Experience in account abstraction standards, rollup architectures and cross-chain interactions Deep understanding of Solidity, the EVM, smart contract best practices and current industry patterns Debatable opinions on the rollup ecosystem and current developments in the Ethereum technical roadmap Apparent interest and passion for contributing to the crypto ecosystem A bias for startups: constant problem solving, high ownership and accountability, smaller teams
Nice-to-haves
Direct experience in working with crypto wallets, bridging technologies, intent/relay networks and/or an understanding of their integration into web applications High confidence in Rust and/or Go Active and demonstrated contributions to open source crypto projects Prior experience in distributed systems, infra and/or security Benefits of working at Eco:
Fully remote organization that allows you to work anywhere in the US, Canada, or North American time zones (other exceptions considered case-by-case) 100% employer-sponsored medical, vision and dental coverage for you, your spouse and your dependents Flexible vacation and work culture Work-from-home stipend, monthly wellness allowance, and annual learning & development allowance 401(k) plan with company match (if eligible based on residency) Regular co-working opportunities in different cities throughout the US
-- Please note that we are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, background, religion, gender identity, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship status, marital status or disability. We also consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please feel free to let us know.
