Key responsibilities
- Leading the Security and SOC teams
- Ensuring that IT systems and applications within our organization meet the needs of the business while adhering to security best-practices, compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g. complies with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) regulations)
- Presenting risk assessments and improved security policies to management team members
- Actively involving in projects or issues of high complexity that require in-depth expert level knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments, demonstrating strong cyber resilience skills and sound judgment
- Reviewing existing security measures and updating protocols as needed
- Driving security strategies and implementing IT solutions to minimize the risk of cyber-attacks and ensuring business continuity
- Overseeing the daily operations of the company to identify potential security risks and room for improvements
- Identifying cybersecurity risks from internal systems and vendors impacting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the organization, performing threat assessments of identified vulnerabilities and defining solutions to improve the cybersecurity posture.
- Fostering a culture of physical and digital security awareness by identifying training requirements, conducting training sessions and communicating within the organization
- Ensuring that the company's security policies comply with federal laws and legislations in all countries where the company operates.
- Displaying sound judgment and decisiveness in ensuring that corporate information is well protected and secured
- Working with management to develop and implement an appropriate budget for security programs
Skills & experiences
- At least 8 years of experience in Cyber security and at least 5 years leading and managing a team
- Experience with security industry standards, data protection regulations, ISO 27001
- Well versed with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) regulations
- Knowledge and experience on blockchain and cryptocurrency market is highly preferred
- Holders of operational risk and/or technology risk related certifications/qualifications will be an advantage (CISA, CISM, CISSP, CCSP, CIPP, CIPM, etc)
- Experience collaborating with different business units to enable business growth while maintaining a high level of security
- Familiar with current trends and best practices in security
