The Senior Blockchain Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust blockchain-based systems that power Paxful’s platform. This role requires deep expertise in blockchain technologies, hands-on experience with API integrations (e.g., BitGo, Fireblocks), and the ability to work with advanced blockchain solutions such as Solana Smart Contracts. You will play a critical role in building secure wallet systems, optimizing transaction processing, and integrating new blockchain features to support Paxful’s expanding ecosystem.

What will you do:

• Develop and maintain blockchain-based services and wallet systems to support Paxful’s P2P marketplace.
• Design and implement integrations with third-party providers like BitGo, Fireblocks, and other custodial/non-custodial solutions.
• Build and deploy smart contracts on platforms like Solana, focusing on scalability and security.
• Optimize UTXO management, transaction processing, and on-chain activity for performance and cost efficiency.
• Develop tools for transaction monitoring, fraud detection, and blockchain analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver blockchain-focused features and improvements.
• Create and manage wallet solutions, including multi-signature wallets, self-custody solutions, and Lightning Network integrations.
• Integrate blockchain technologies with Paxful’s backend services and APIs to enable seamless transactions.
• Conduct security audits and implement robust measures to protect funds and user data.
• Debug and resolve blockchain-related issues, ensuring uninterrupted platform availability.
• Stay updated on advancements in blockchain technology and propose relevant improvements to the platform.

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in blockchain development or related fields.
• Extensive experience with Bitcoin, UTXOs, multi-signature wallets, and Layer 2 solutions like Lightning Network.
• Proficiency in blockchain programming.
• Strong knowledge of Python, Go, or Rust for smart contract development.
• Experience with API integrations for custodial and non-custodial wallets.
• Hands-on experience with BitGo, Fireblocks, or similar vendors.
• Proficiency with smart contract development and deployment.
• Hands-on experience working with Solana Smart Contracts using Anchor or similar frameworks.
• Deep understanding of blockchain security best practices.
• Familiarity with cryptographic techniques, secure wallet implementation, and transaction validation.

Recommended Skills:

• Familiarity with other blockchain platforms, such as Ethereum and its smart contract ecosystem.
• Experience with DeFi protocols, self-custody wallets, and cross-chain interoperability.
• Knowledge of blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, Blockchair).
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects or technical communities.
