Job Description
IMC is a leading global market maker using algorithmic trading and advanced technology to trade across multiple venues worldwide. IMC has a h2 presence in traditional finance and has been expanding into crypto and DeFi over the last years. Through its overseas affiliates, IMC provides liquidity and trades on many cryptocurrency exchanges and DeFi protocols. IMC Zug is currently looking to expand its DeFi team, which builds algorithms that support IMC's trading activities.
What you will work on
The DeFi team is small and highly flexible. We need the flexibility to respond to the rapidly changing DeFi landscape. You get the opportunity to work on many different projects and shape your role to your talents. Your work will vary from improving existing trading strategies and algorithms to working on completely new solutions from scratch. All while closely collaborating with our team members.
Your main tasks:
- Coding - implementing trading strategies, expanding systems to new blockchains etc.
- Research and analysis in DeFi protocols and trading algorithms
- Creating systems that can handle complex and big data
Requirements
Hard skill requirements:
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages:
- Python, Go, C++, Rust, Java
- Strong analytical, research and problem solving skills
- A willingness to learn about algorithmic trading and DeFi
- Comfortable in a Linux environment, incl. related tools such as git, shell, etc.
- Experience with cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, DeFi protocols or MEV
- Knowledge of concrete blockchains on a conceptual or programming level
Other requirements
- Strong Python skills
- Like to work in a team environment
- Good communication skills, English
Nice to haves
- Hands-on programming experience in a quantitative trading environment
- Understanding of the EVM, smart contracts and/or the technical underpinnings of other blockchain ecosystems
- Experience with smart contract design and development
Location
- Note that this is an onsite job, with some flexibility for working from home.
