You will lead initiatives that address complex testing challenges, streamline automation processes, and integrate testing workflows into CI/CD pipelines. Your focus will be on expanding automation coverage, improving testing efficiency, and ensuring seamless integration with development, product, and DevOps teams. Staying focused on current engineering trends in engineering and implementation. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Architect advanced test automation frameworks using Robot Framework with Python and Selenium with Java. Manage and guide SDET teams in handling complex automation projects, promoting a culture of quality. Cover comprehensive testing across Web, API, and Mobile platforms. Build modular, maintainable, and reusable automation suites tailored for agile development cycles. Integrate test automation with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and other CI/CD tools. Stay focused on the current trends in the market and experiment/POC new suitable trends. Automate REST API testing with tools like Postman and REST-Assured. Ensure continuous integration and testing with automated pipelines. Lead cloud-based test automation implementations using platforms like AWS and Azure. Use cloud services such as BrowserStack for large-scale cross-browser testing. Achieve seamless test execution across multiple environments with containerized solutions. Integrate performance testing using JMeter or Gatling. Implement service virtualization for isolated testing scenarios to enhance reliability and coverage. Create and implement KDD frameworks to simplify test automation for non-technical testers. Enable business analysts and QA teams to define and execute tests with minimal scripting effort. Manage the test lifecycle using TestRail for test case management, linking all test cases to requirements and automation scripts. Oversee defect tracking using JIRA, ensuring transparency, traceability, and timely resolution of bugs. Develop custom automation scripts using Java, Python, and Groovy. Implement data-driven automation techniques to ensure scalability and flexibility in test execution. Optimize testing through parallel execution, distributed testing, and orchestration strategies. Continuously refactor test cases for maintainability and adaptability to project changes. Collaborate with development, DevOps, and business teams to align on quality goals and strategies. Define and monitor key metrics like test coverage, automation pass/fail rates, and defect resolution times. Prepare executive-level summaries and dashboards, providing detailed insights into automation progress and overall project quality.

 WHAT YOU’LL NEED:  

11-14 years of hands-on experience in software testing, with at least 10 years of experience in building and scaling test automation frameworks for large, complex systems. Proficiency in managing SDET teams and delivering automation test solutions. Deep expertise in developing automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver (Java) and Robot Framework (Python), with custom scripting for specific project needs. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, for automated build, test, and deployment processes. Experience with REST API testing using Postman, REST-Assured, and mocking tools like WireMock for service isolation and testing. Advanced understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for scalable, containerized test environments. Proficient in performance testing using tools like JMeter, Gatling, and Locust to measure application performance and scalability. Experience in cross-browser testing leveraging tools like Selenium Grid or BrowserStack for distributed execution. Strong experience in SQL and database validation testing with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle for complex test scenarios requiring data integrity verification. Proficiency in managing the end-to-end test lifecycle using TestRail for test management and JIRA for defect tracking.

Qualifications  Should have BTech or BE or equivalent qualification from reputed institutes Preferred/Optional Skills:

Certifications: ISTQB Advanced Level, CTAE certifications, or advanced certifications in test automation. Familiarity with financial services or life insurance domains. Programming Expertise: Advanced coding skills in Java, Python, and Groovy to build and extend automation frameworks. AI/ML Integration: Knowledge of AI/ML models for predictive testing, smart test case generation, and test data optimization.
