Senior Front-End Engineer (25-0327)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain sophisticated front-end systems using React.
- Design clean, functional, and visually coherent UIs that make complex data easy to understand.
- Own the front-end user experience, incorporating feedback and designs from the team.
- Own the front-end architecture, managing complexity and building comprehensive automated testing for core interfaces.
- Work closely with back-end engineers and product leads to deliver seamless, well-integrated systems.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and manage data-heavy interfaces with high performance and usability in mind.
- Uphold code quality through testing, documentation, and peer collaboration.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5–7 years' experience in front-end development, with deep expertise in React.js.
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills.
- Solid understanding of security best practices for web apps, including OWASP vulnerabilities.
- Confidence in making UX/UI decisions, collaborating with designers and product owners.
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to work with common authentication schemes, including OAuth and JWT tokens.
- Experience working in Linux-based and docker-based development environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Comfortable in fast-moving, early-stage start-up environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with data visualization libraries or tools.
- Understanding of API design and optimization, and ability to make simple updates to API endpoints / backend systems.
- Familiarity with other frameworks including Angular.
- Familiarity with blockchain platforms, digital forensics, or regulated environments (e.g. GovTech).
- Solid understanding of system-level concepts and performance optimization.
