Your mission

Join our team as an outstanding Risk Manager and take charge of our risk management obligations for our German business. As the central coordination point for Bitpanda Germany's Risk Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our risk processes. Working closely with our senior management and collaborating with our risk owners, you will guide the entire risk management journey from identification to mitigation.

As a member of our central risk management team, you will forge strong partnerships with colleagues in finance and compliance to ensure our business complies with all regulatory requirements. When necessary, you will engage with regulators such as BaFin and the Bundesbank, further solidifying our commitment to best practices in risk management.

What you’ll do

• Lead and coordinate the risk management process for Bitpanda Germany, collaborating with the central team to develop effective risk reporting and mitigation strategies.

• Drive the implementation and advancement of the Internal Control System for our German business, elevating it to new levels of maturity.

• Develop standardized methodologies, processes, and risk reporting within your area of responsibility.

• Assume ownership of monitoring, reporting, and controlling outsourcing for our German operations.

• Conduct thorough reviews of new products and transactions relevant to our German business, expertly identifying and quantifying risks and value drivers.

What we’re looking for

• A qualified corporate Risk Manager with the necessary experience to handle risk responsibilities within our German regulated business.

• Previous experience in a high-tech, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, or close collaboration with such environments.

• Strong understanding of financial services and online platform businesses, coupled with a genuine interest in crypto-assets.
