About Polygon Labs

Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the Agglayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the Agglayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer. Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Agglayer CDK, Polygon PoS & Katana.

Your Role

As a founding Full Stack Engineer on the Polygon Fintech Labs team, you’ll work hand-in-hand with our Engineering Manager to build the foundation of our Financial Service application layer. Together, you’ll collaborate closely with product and design from day one to architect and ship high-impact features that bring real-world financial utility to millions of users.

You’ll build everything from backend services and wallet integrations to clean, intuitive user experiences that abstract away blockchain complexity — making stablecoin payments, programmable flows, and financial automation simple, secure, and accessible.

If you thrive on solving tough technical challenges and care deeply about creating polished user experiences, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact at the intersection of crypto and fintech.

Your Responsibilities

  • Implement wallet and transaction features that enable stablecoin payments, cross-chain bridging, and programmable flows.

  • Integrate third-party wallet SDKs and APIs from key partners like Crossmint to support onboarding, compliance flows, and seamless fiat on/off ramps.

  • Develop robust backend infrastructure and services to enable secure transaction execution, smart contract interactions, and vault access.

  • Collaborate closely with smart contract engineers to connect on-chain logic with performant backend and frontend systems.

  • Work side-by-side with frontend engineers to deliver secure, fast, and delightful user experiences.

  • Contribute to architectural decisions that prioritize scalability, security, code quality, and system reliability across the stack.

What You’ll Need

  • 4+ years of full stack engineering experience, ideally in crypto, fintech, or API-intensive environments.

  • Strong proficiency with modern TypeScript and frameworks such as Node.js, NestJS, or similar.

  • Hands-on experience integrating third-party SDKs (wallets, bridges, KYC tools) into production-grade systems.

  • Solid understanding of Ethereum and EVM-compatible smart contracts and how to interact with them via backend/frontend code.

  • Familiarity with secure key management systems, vault integrations, or encrypted storage solutions.

  • Proven ability to ship clean, maintainable, production-ready code in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with smart contract wallets or account abstraction flows.

  • Background building scalable backend services for mobile-first applications.

  • Knowledge of cross-chain bridging technologies and relayer infrastructure.

What does a full stack developer in web3 do?

A full stack web3 developer is a developer who has expertise in the full stack of technologies that are used to build web3 applications

These applications use the decentralized, distributed nature of the web3 network to provide users with a secure and decentralized way of accessing and interacting with online services and applications. The responsibilities of a full stack web3 developer will vary depending on the specific project and the needs of the team they are working with

In general, though, a full stack web3 developer will be responsible for: designing and building the front-end and back-end of web3 applications, as well as implementing and maintaining the underlying blockchain infrastructure

This will often involve working with a variety of different technologies and programming languages, such as Solidity for smart contract development, JavaScript and HTML for front-end development, and various blockchain protocols and frameworks. Additionally, a full stack web3 developer may also be responsible for working with the web3 community to help drive adoption and integration of web3 technologies, as well as staying up-to-date on the latest developments in the field and contributing to the broader web3 ecosystem.
