About us:
Parallel is an institutional-grade DeFi parachain building in the Polkadot ecosystem to empower the community to earn interest on their assets, with the utmost safety and security in mind. We chose to build in the Polkadot ecosystem because Polkadot (and Kusama by extension) allows for faster and cheaper transactions, shared security, interoperability, and strong upgradability. Our primary goal is to create an innovative lending, borrowing, staking system that uses the power of Polkadot to generate the greatest capital efficiency for everyone involved.
Responsibilities:
As a Staff FullStack Engineer at Parallel you will:
- Work with product and architects to identify and plan projects based on the team goals and resources
- Drive detailed project definition, design, cross-functional alignment, estimation, in addition to task break-down, delivery, monitoring, and maintenance
- Enabling teams to consistently generate simple and elegant designs, and write high-quality code that can be easily understood and leveraged by others
- Building relationships with people across engineering and other organizations for the design, implementation, roll-out and maintenance of projects
- Actively participate in making their team and workplace an inclusive environment for people from all backgrounds
- Guide and unblock dev team on a daily basis
- Have a perfect understanding of end to end user journeys of the product and partner with architects on a vision to get there
- Lead cross team initiatives to deliver, high quality, scalable features
- Demonstrate the ability to push the status quo, introducing innovation in everything you touch
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and lead by example and serve as a role model to the engineers on your team
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Architecture and Quality to chart out the course of a product from discovery to delivery
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience
- JS, NodeJs, Typescript
- React experience
- Performance / optimization mindset
- Knowledge around Unit Testing
- Crypto knowledge
- Experience with creating Rest APIs
- Team lead experience
- Build & CICD tooling (webpack, bundlers, Jenkins, Git actions)
- Building UI Automation tests
Nice to have:
- GraphQL
- Web sockets
- State management
- Advanced crypto knowledge (blockchain, wallet etc)
- Docker, Kubernetes (or relevant)
- Large data storage
