About
Webacy helps protect your digital assets for the unexpected. Our digital estates (and digital legacies) are growing larger and more valuable than our physical ones. We're building the tools to help users protect and manage their crypto assets and wallets from accidents like: losing your keys, hacks, and everything beyond - even death.
We are looking for...
A driven, ambitious engineer to join our core engineering team. You'll build out major parts of our smart contracts and Dapp suite, building products the world has never seen before.
Responsibilities
- Develop significant portions of our smart contracts around security, protection, and management
- Refine existing smart contracts already in place from the current Webacy system
- Innovate on off-chain and on-chain solutions to deal with the ever evolving world of protection of digital assets
- Collaborate with our core engineering team to develop, ship, and test new features in our Webacy ecosystem
- Propose new, innovative solutions to challenges, constantly immersing yourself in what's fresh in web3
Qualifications
- 3+ years professional software engineering experience with node.js or next.js
- 1+ years software experience on a blockchain-based project
- 1+ years developing in Solidity
- Background in cybersecurity is a plus
Important Traits
- Crypto native: you're active and adept in the crypto community and understand our customers. You might even identify yourself as a degen.
- Agency, Independence, and Communication: you're self-motivated and don't need your hand held. You're also able to communicate blockers early, and collaborate with a team.
- Adaptable: you're comfortable wearing many hats and like to tackle complex problems
- Able to travel to the US for team events, or if based in the US, able to travel to NYC or SF semi-frequently.
- International candidates welcome, but must have a system in place (financially, legally, tax, and time-zone wise) to properly work with a US-based company
Webacy focuses on Software and Blockchain / Cryptocurrency. Their company has offices in New York City and San Francisco. They have a small team that's between 1-10 employees.

What does a full stack developer in web3 do?
A full stack web3 developer is a developer who has expertise in the full stack of technologies that are used to build web3 applications
These applications use the decentralized, distributed nature of the web3 network to provide users with a secure and decentralized way of accessing and interacting with online services and applications. The responsibilities of a full stack web3 developer will vary depending on the specific project and the needs of the team they are working with
In general, though, a full stack web3 developer will be responsible for: designing and building the front-end and back-end of web3 applications, as well as implementing and maintaining the underlying blockchain infrastructure
This will often involve working with a variety of different technologies and programming languages, such as Solidity for smart contract development, JavaScript and HTML for front-end development, and various blockchain protocols and frameworks. Additionally, a full stack web3 developer may also be responsible for working with the web3 community to help drive adoption and integration of web3 technologies, as well as staying up-to-date on the latest developments in the field and contributing to the broader web3 ecosystem.
