Your mission
You’ll work in Bitpanda’s Crypto Hub on creating a retail-friendly access point to DeFi, expanding Bitpanda’s ecosystem into the Web3 space.
What you’ll do
- Build an intuitive and secure smart wallet that simplifies Web3 experiences, making self-custody accessible for everyone.
- Work on challenging backend scenarios, supporting thousands of users and managing various third parties.
- Work on features to completion including deployment and e2e testing.
- Develop clean, scalable and maintainable solutions in a reactive fashion.

Who you are
- You are a proficient Backend Engineer with experience in TypeScript and reactive programming using RxJS, along with basic familiarity with frameworks like NestJS or Node.js/Express, and an understanding of relational databases (SQL).
- You want to deploy user-oriented solutions to the real world.
- You know the intricacies of frontend/backend communication and have experience building (micro)services.
- Understanding of how (EVM and non-EVM) blockchains, smart contracts, transactions work and interest in diving deeper into this space.
- Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: smart contracts development, advanced blockchain concepts like account abstraction, hosting cryptonodes, CI/CD & pipelines, infrastructure as code, components design.
