Senior Data Engineer/Analytics Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and support data pipelines, warehouses and reporting systems to solve business operations, users and product problems
- Work closely with product engineers and product managers to create, test and maintain data models
- Assist in the implementation of a modern data stack and platform from the ground up.
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure business and analytics data requirements are supported with robust, scalable, and adaptable data solutions.
- Ensure the best data management and governance practices in data quality, documentation, security, and privacy.
- Build, develop, and manage a high-performing data engineering team through direct coaching and mentorship.
- Provide data and analytics support across the company
Qualifications:
- Data driven mindset with a degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering including data modeling, ETL/ELT, data warehouse/lake management, and data platform development for analytics and data science.
- Experience with building modern cloud-based data stack and platform with the following technologies: Fivetran/Stitch, Dbt, Snowflake/Redshift, Looker/Tableau, Airflow/Airbyte, Kafka, Kubernetes
- Experience with building data pipelines using Python and SQL
- A proven track record of data engineering leadership through critical thinking, thought leadership, technical skills, and relentless drive for data stack development.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbal and written, to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly improving, start-up environment that focuses on solving problems with iterative technical solutions.
The Nice To Have's:
- While not a hard requirement, experience with crypto based products and services or Ethereum and the crypto markets is a plus.
- Practical hands on experience with data lake / schema discovery systems and relevant technologies (Confluent/Kafka, Spark, Athena/Glue, DynamoDB etc.)
- Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem (Lambda, RDS, Redshift etc.)
- Experience working for a rapidly growing startup, and managing change
- Experience with Google Ads/B2C businesses
