We are seeking a strong, hardworking Senior QA Engineer with strong test automation skills in varied disciplines to join our Core team. The ideal Engineer will play an integral role in helping Ava Labs build and deliver groundbreaking applications for web3. Automation frameworks you’ll work directly with include, but are not limited to, selenium, playwright, puppeteer, webdriver.io, and the same for JS api testing frameworks. What You Will Do
Along with building out our end-to-end tests, you will also help establish and lead scalable long term testing frameworks and best practices for the future Be trusted to work autonomously, with minimal supervision, to build frameworks from scratch Design, develop, maintain, prototype and execute functional, regression, integration and end-to-end tests Maintain and improve automation frameworks that can be used by both Development and QA Perform automated and manual testing efforts for our products Help maintain high security and quality standards held by institutional grade custody products Help define, improve, and implement QA standard methodologies Work across varied application stacks—Web, Mobile (iOS/Andriod), APIs, etc., with the main priority being the Web app Leverage latest AI technologies to increase development efficiency and velocity
What You Will Bring
B.S. in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of professional experience in software QA/Test engineering Developed test automation using Typescript/Javascript Need to have experience and be able to build frameworks from scratch—ideally with a playwright Experience with UI automation frameworks and building test suites with Selenium, WebdriverIO, Cucumber, and other test frameworks Familiar with version control, defect tracking, and test management tools (Github, Jira, TestRail) Experience crafting test strategies, test plans, and test cases Hands-on experience with continuous integration process to manage Regression/Smoke Automation suites (GitHubActions, Jenkins) Experience driving quality through process, instrumentation, requirements and testing Efficient in effort estimation, planning, prioritization and time management Flexible with a positive “do what needs to be done” demeanor Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction Experience testing web3 and blockchain technologies and products Be able to pass a background check

Salary Range: $134,000 to $167,000 (**This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. NYC metro candidates are required to be in office 2-3x/week, with exceptions.)
