About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Rust Engineer to design, build, and scale the backend systems that power Helius’ developer platform. You’ll work on high-performance, low-latency systems that power the developer Solana ecosystem and process billions of requests per day. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role for someone who thrives on solving hard problems at scale and enjoys working close to the metal. You’ll join a talented, fast-moving engineering team where your contributions will have an immediate impact on our product, customers, and growth.
What You'll Do:
Design, build, and optimize backend services in Rust with a focus on scalability and ultra low-latency performance.
Own and improve distributed systems powering Helius’ data APIs, event streaming, and RPC services.
Debug, profile, and tune performance in high-scale production environments.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product and frontend teams to integrate features and unblock development.
Establish and maintain monitoring, alerting, and security best practices for the systems you own.
Contribute to the engineering culture through code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring where needed.
What You'll Bring:
Proficiency with Rust is required.
5+ years building and scaling production systems (high-throughput, low-latency, distributed).
Strong understanding of distributed systems and database design.
Ability to work autonomously, move fast, and deliver high-quality code.
Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced startup environment.
-
Bonus: Web3 or blockchain experience, familiarity with Solana, or experience building developer platforms.

What does a React developer in web3 do?
A React developer in the context of web3 is a developer who is using the React JavaScript library to build user interfaces for decentralized applications (dApps) that run on the Ethereum blockchain
These dApps often use smart contracts to facilitate transactions and other interactions on the Ethereum network
Overall, the role of a React developer in web3 involves using your skills in React development to help build cutting-edge decentralized applications that leverage the power of the Ethereum blockchain
As a React developer in web3, some of your responsibilities might include:
- Integrating the dApp with the Ethereum blockchain. This might involve using tools like web3.js and Ethers.js to connect to the Ethereum network and interact with smart contracts.
- Building the user interface for a dApp using React. This could involve creating components for the various elements of the dApp, such as buttons, forms, and other input elements.
- Implementing features that are specific to decentralized applications, such as handling cryptocurrency transactions and displaying data from the blockchain in a user-friendly way.
- Collaborating with other members of the development team, such as blockchain engineers and designers, to ensure that the dApp functions properly and meets the needs of the end users.
