Your Purpose
As a Software Engineer (React), you will focus on building innovative products focused on our merchants' needs. You will be responsible for creating and developing the payments experience across the LATAM region, working in close collaboration with our Product and Design teams to deliver seamless and high-impact solutions.
Reports To
This role reports to a Software Engineering Manager from our Business area.
Who You Are
- Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required. Proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish is highly desirable for cross-regional collaboration.
- Autonomous: You thrive in remote environments, capable of managing your own time with independence and a "get it done" attitude.
- Team Player: You are customer-centric and experienced in collaborating within high-performing, distributed teams in an Agile environment.
- Experienced: 5+ years of experience working as a Frontend Software Engineer (React) or similar role.
- Technical Expert:
- Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
- Proficiency in React and NextJS framework
- Experience with data fetching and caching using SWR or React Query
- Knowledge of react-intl/next-intl or any other internationalization tool
- Knowledge of experimentation frameworks and A/B testing methodologies
- Experience with analytics platforms like Segment and Amplitude
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools (Datadog).
Nice-to-have
- Experience with Tailwind CSS for UI development
- Basic familiarity with React Native or willingness to learn
- Basic familiarity with Java and Spring Boot or willingness to learn
- Experience with Object-Oriented Design, TDD, and BDD
- Previous experience in Fintech or the Crypto industry.
What You Will Do
- Build Merchant Solutions. Architect and develop responsive, high-impact web interfaces for our merchant partners using React, NextJS, and TypeScript, directly enabling better payment experiences across LATAM.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally. Partner closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to translate complex financial flows into seamless, user-friendly UI/UX.
- Quality. Write clean, testable code (TDD/BDD), ensuring our frontend applications are fast, scalable, and bug-free.
- Data-Driven Development. Integrate analytics platforms (Segment, Amplitude) and execute A/B testing strategies to validate hypotheses, and improve user experience.
- Drive Localization. Implement internationalization strategies (using tools like react-intl) to ensure our products feel native and accessible to users in Brazil, Mexico, and beyond.
