We're looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our Shared Platform Services team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Software Engineering in Bangalore, you'll be responsible for:

Participating in the engineering effort for the development and maintenance of the Zscaler Zero-Trust Cloud User Interface Working closely with the UI design team to implement intuitive and accessible user interfaces, leveraging UX best practices and a component library Collaborating with the product team to define and implement functional requirements that align with business goals Developing high-quality, maintainable code with thorough unit and end-to-end (E2E) tests using frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright Advocating for UI platform priorities, ensuring alignment with long-term architectural goals and business needs

What We’re Looking For (Minumum Qualifications)

6+ years of professional experience as a front-end engineer (5+ years of experience in React), with Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Extensive experience with JavaScript and developing UI components using React Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles Experience in designing and implementing efficient and scalable GraphQL and REST APIs that serve the frontend effectively Experience in addressing key UI concerns such as scalability, performance and security to maintain a high-quality user experience

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Strong understanding of front-end build tools, package managers, monorepos and version control systems (e.g., Nx, npm, git) Familiarity with containerization and Kubernetes Understanding of AWS services (e.g. Cloudfront, EC2, S3) and their application in secure, scalable, and highly available UI deployments
