Responsibilities:

  1. Take a leading role in developing future protocol versions, covering everything from initial R&D to ongoing maintenance.
  2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to finalize protocol designs and support their implementation.
  3. Continuously optimize the protocol to maximize efficiency, throughput, and overall performance.
  4. Prioritize performance improvements and scalability enhancements for the underlying blockchain.
  5. Conduct rigorous testing and security assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities and potential issues.
  6. Actively engage with the open-source community, collaborating with external contributors and participating in community events.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Hold a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in smart contract development using EVM and Solidity, alongside proficiency in protocol development languages like Go or Rust.
  2. Demonstrate at least 5 years of senior engineering experience, preferably within Web2 or Web3 tech companies, with additional experience at consumer social companies being a notable advantage.
  3. Possess knowledge in advanced cryptography, including group signatures and zero-knowledge proofs, as well as a solid understanding of IPFS and distributed hash tables.
  4. Showcase a first-principles approach and a systems-thinking mindset, with a keen interest in solving complex challenges related to human coordination, incentives, collaboration, and market design.
  5. Exhibit familiarity with reputation and collaboration systems, complemented by an understanding of related concepts such as game theory, incentive design, and social trust.
  6. Display exceptional judgment when faced with intricate technical design trade-offs.
  7. Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, although this is preferred but not mandatory.
