About
Colonize Mars is a simulation game about strategy, exploration, and building a life on the red planet. The game uses the latest aerospace technology to inform mission payloads and objectives, with the goal of educating players on the real science needed to colonize mars.
Who we're hiring
We are looking for a blockchain developer to work on the smart contract development of our game. In this role you will help us add innovative features that take advantage of multiple blockchain technologies and improve the player experience. It is an opportunity to be on the cutting edge of the blockchain gaming industry.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop smart contracts.
- Coordinate with the broader team to integrate blockchain contracts into the stack. We are using React & Node for the core product.
- Keeping track of issues and either self-implement or design fixes.
- Cross-train other team members on your designs and implementation.
- Write well-tested and documented code.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years blockchain / dApp experience (Solidity, Ethereum, or another blockchain).
- 5+ years engineering experience (either in-industry or side projects). C++ experience is ideal.
- Passionate about games and the metaverse.
- A good grasp on the tools and technologies within Web3 markets.
- Ideally, previous experience working in Web3 but we certainly welcome people exploring careers in the industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on multiple blockchains (WAX, Polygon, Solana, Flow, ImmutableX, etc…).
- Play / familiar with video games, or video game development.
- Worked at a startup before.
- A true passion for a decentralized future and desire to build it.
- Interest in Mars exploration and/or the aerospace industry.
