Hour Rate: $45 - $90 / h (based on experience)
Term: November - January
Hours per week: 30h (ideal - open to less)

As Labrys approaches the end of the year we are looking to bolster our team’s capabilities with short-term contractors to deliver a strong finish to our client projects for 2023. Contractors will assist existing teams or take on new projects allowing our in-house teams to deliver their projects. This is a great opportunity to earn some additional income and gain new experiences from a cutting-edge technology sector over the holiday period. 

Labrys is Australia’s largest on-shore blockchain development agency. We build blockchain solutions for our clients across the globe. Blockchain knowledge is a bonus but not required or expected.

Core Responsibilities

    • End to end development of high-quality software applications using MERN stack whilst producing few errors.
    • Mobile app development with React Native
    • Troubleshooting and bug fixing.
    • Creating Unit and integration tests to ensure quality of code.
    • Writing accurate technical documentation.
    • Review code, and manage requests, changes and provide active recommendations.
    • Work as part of a team with Project Managers, Business Analysts and clients to design and create tasks.

The ideal candidate will have

    • Knowledge of programming across multiple platforms
    • Interest on Web3 frameworks and languages including Solidity (ideal but not mandatory)
    • Intermediate to high skills with MERN stack - Mongo, Express, React, Node
    • Desirable knowledge and experience with Next.Js
    • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a contractor.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Outstanding time management.

Relevant requirements

    • Studying or graduated IT, Computer Science or other relevant coding experience.
    • Provide an ABN number.
    • Bring your own fully functional laptop.
$45 - $90 an hour
The hourly rata is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Current opportunities are expected to be available from November - January but will be dependent on project requirements. Length of engagement will be based on the project you are assigned to and your availability.

Ideal candidates will work from the Labrys office in Fortitude Valley though hybrid/remote opportunities will be considered.
