The Role

Provable is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong background in AWS cloud infrastructure to join our dynamic Infrastructure Team. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing and optimizing AWS cloud services, implementing monitoring solutions, and ensuring cost-effectiveness. A key responsibility of this role is to provide level 2 on-call technical support during off-hours, addressing and resolving critical issues that arise. We have a strong preference for candidates who are crypto native, possessing an understanding of blockchain technology and its ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the provisioning, operation, and management of AWS cloud infrastructure. Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.

  • Implement and manage monitoring tools to ensure high availability and performance. Proactively identify and execute on opportunities for cost optimization.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve automation systems for test and deployment processes using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash.

  • Provide level 2 on-call technical support outside of regular business hours. Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve critical issues to minimize downtime.

  • Plan and execute migrations to AWS cloud, ensuring minimal disruption to services.

  • Collaborate with the Security Specialist to ensure infrastructure compliance with security policies and standards. Assist in conducting security assessments and responding to incidents.

  • Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues, ensuring a high level of system reliability and performance.

  • Stay abreast of new AWS features and technologies. Recommend and implement improvements to infrastructure and processes.

  • Work closely with other teams, including software developers and security specialists, to ensure cohesiveness and reliability of services.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • A foundation in blockchain concepts and, ideally, experience contributing to or working on a blockchain project.

  • Experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure.

  • Experience in Ansible, Terraform, Python, Bash, Git, and GitHub workflows.

  • Experience in handling on-call responsibilities.

  • Experience with setting up and managing monitoring solutions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas across teams.

  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to come into the San Francisco office 2-3 days a week.
