Blockdaemon is looking for a Web Service Engineer with focus on implementation and maintenance of an API serving the web application. This role will report to the UI/UX lead and work closely with product and engineering teams to support company goals and initiatives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Write code – This position will be writing software every day
- Interact and collaborate with other engineers, designers, and team members. Our team is highly collaborative, and we have a focus on creating a shared understanding of systems and helping out
- Design and prototype new features
- Contribute to architecture discussions
- Code reviews – We encourage frequent and open feedback
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Skills and Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- 5+ years of web service engineering experience
- Expertise in Golang
- Expertise in API design
- Expertise in CI/CD
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to act independently
- Attention to detail while being able to think and analyze holistically and at a high level
- Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
- You enjoy results-oriented environments and want to help build something meaningful
