Senior 3D Artist
What You'll Do
- Create 3D models of hard surfaces, organic shapes, environments, or other elements required for the project. This involves using software like Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or ZBrush to sculpt and shape the models.
- Apply textures to 3D models to give them realistic surfaces and details. Texturing involves creating or sourcing texture maps for different properties such as color, roughness, metallicness, and normal maps to add surface detail.
- Unwrap 3D models to create UV maps, which are 2D representations of the surface of the 3D model. This process allows textures to be accurately applied to the model.
- Create shaders and materials for 3D models to control how they react to light and interact with the environment. This involves adjusting parameters such as reflectivity, transparency, and specular highlights.
- Demonstrate a solid grasp of design principles, encompassing both real-world and fictional concepts.
- Operate within the constraints of engine and console budgets.
- Maintain fidelity to the game's aesthetic under the guidance of team feedback.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments, including design, programming, and animation.
