Your Role:

We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our team! As a security engineer, you will work with our product and platform teams to design, implement and ensure our systems are meeting the highest security standards. This is a rare opportunity for a proven technologist and security professional to establish security best practices within an organization building a privacy-focussed cryptocurrency. Your work will deliver immediate, measurable and long-lasting impact. You will gain exposure to many aspects of developing and deploying cryptographic and financial primitives and work alongside individuals with proven experience building some of the most innovative blockchain technologies in the world.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to defining and driving the security roadmap
• Perform architecture reviews to steer technical designs in the right direction
• Participate in security code reviews
• Manage security programs including bug bounty, penetration testing, and threat modeling
• Help build and establish our security engineering team
• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team
• Coordinate with 3rd party auditors to verify the security of our proprietary and open source software
• Produce documentation of our security practices for key external integrations and compliance

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience
• Minimum 3 years working in software security
• Excellent understanding of secure coding practices
• Experience in architecting and building security solutions on modern tech stacks across multiple platforms (web, mobile, backend)
• Experience partnering with cross-functional engineering and product teams
• Demonstrated capability of finding and mitigating multiple types of vulnerabilities in web, mobile, and cloud systems
• Ability to take on complex and ambiguous problems and move forward in the face of uncertainty
• Sound communication and relationship building skills

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience with blockchains, cryptocurrency or decentralized systems
• Experience with threat modeling and handling vulnerability reports
• Experience with SGX, HSMs and/or GPUs
• Experience with Rust, C/C++, Java, Kotlin, and/or Go
