Investment Analyst – Family Office

Full-Time | On-Site | San Francisco, CA

$100K – $140K Base

About the Role:

A high-profile, founder-backed family office is seeking an Investment Analyst to join a small, dynamic team managing a diverse portfolio of investments across asset classes. This role will support both fund and direct investments in areas such as venture capital, public equities, real estate, hedge funds, and crypto assets, with a special emphasis on early-stage technology companies (AI/ML, consumer internet, gaming, etc.).

You’ll work directly with seasoned investors to evaluate, execute, and manage investments across a wide spectrum — from high-growth startups to traditional vehicles. This is a rare opportunity for someone early in their investing career to gain high-level exposure, take on meaningful responsibility, and help shape the future direction of the office’s investment strategy.

What You’ll Do:

• Analyze and evaluate opportunities across public and private markets, including venture, private equity, hedge funds, and real estate
• Build financial models and conduct due diligence to support investment decisions
• Monitor and report on performance across the existing portfolio
• Conduct research to surface emerging trends in AI/ML, gaming, web3, consumer tech, and more
• Maintain relationships with top-tier VCs, incubators, and PE firms to source deals
• Collaborate with legal, accounting, real estate, and external advisors to manage cross-functional initiatives
• Contribute to strategic planning and implement operational improvements within the investment function

Who You Are:

• 1+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, trading, or similar roles
• Comfortable modeling complex financial scenarios and assessing risk
• Passionate about early-stage startups and the future of technology
• Curious, resourceful, and excited to take initiative in a fast-moving environment
• Strong communicator and team player who thrives in small, agile teams

Work Environment:

• In-person in San Francisco (Mission District currently; moving to Presidio)
• Visa sponsorship not available (willing to consider TN or transfer for select candidates)
• Full-time role with direct exposure to the family principal and investment leadership
