Almanax is seeking someone to join our team in person in NYC who is comfortable working across the platform and infrastructure layers in our stack. The ideal candidate will be able to design, build, and deploy new services to production to support our AI systems. As a backend engineer, you will you will work directly with the cofounding CEO and CTO to play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge solutions for our clients and building a team from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, performant platform services
- Build CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent quality and delivery
- Work with frontend and machine learning engineers on new architecture
- Codify and maintain AWS and GCP resources in reusable Terraform modules
- Work on a day-to-day basis with Almanax founders
Requirements
- Full-time software engineering experience working in production
- Solid understanding of modern backend architecture, best practices, and tooling
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Able to work in the US in-person out of our NYC office
- Excellent written and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with runtime observability and mitigating production incidents
- Familiarity with our technology stack (Go, Terraform, Docker, AWS)
- History or interest in cybersecurity, crypto/web3, or ML/AI
