BitGo is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Custody organization to help us build resilient, robust services that enable customers to securely store and access their cryptocurrency while meeting compliance requirements around the world. Responsibilities:

Build, lead, and mentor a team of high-impact engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ownership Take direct responsibility for the timely delivery and quality of your team’s work Collaborate with product management, designers, and other stakeholders to create and prioritize your team’s roadmap Work closely with UI/UX designers to build intuitive and delightful interfaces for our users Take ownership of building platforms that enable developers inside and outside of the company to build secure crypto applications Own, drive, and be accountable to KPIs pertaining to development processes, product quality, and customer value Act as a strong, positive bridge between engineering teams and product operations, support, compliance, and business stakeholders Align the team to broader company objectives and client expectations

8+ years of professional experience as a software engineer with 2+ years in a managerial role Strong desire to automate where possible and building tools for more efficient workflows Strong debugging skills and ability to grasp the interconnected nature of complex systems Proven experience sourcing and hiring top engineering talent Experience working in a cross-team and remote environment, collaborating with and enabling other functions to drive broader departmental goals A self-starter capable of adapting quickly and being decisive Engineering degree in Computer Science or similar Effective written and verbal communication skills Understanding of and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain

Preferred:

Experience with NodeJS, TypeScript, MongoDB, React, and Kafka Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures Experience with large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications Familiar with Containers and Kubernetes Understanding of and experience working in the financial industry Familiarity with digital wallets and ledgering
