The company is the developer of Phoenix, the leading order book spot exchange on the Solana blockchain, and a top 10 DEX (decentralized exchange) with >$70B in volume since inception in 2023. Additionally, we are one of the most active and prominent on-chain market makers in crypto.

All roles are in the Ellipsis Labs office in New York City.

Ellipsis Labs is seeking a Product Designer to lead internal design efforts for our products in decentralized finance. As an early-stage startup, we value strong product thinking, ownership, and a bias towards moving quickly. In this role, you will:

  • Own the end-to-end user experience for our products, from ideation and wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes and developer handoff

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, founders, and users to shape product direction and interaction models

  • Translate complex trading mechanics and data into intuitive, performant user interfaces

  • Establish and maintain design standards and consistency across Phoenix and future products

  • Incorporate feedback, user research, and usage data to inform continuous iteration

  • Own the company and product brand

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of experience designing trading products, with a portfolio that demonstrates elegant solutions to complex interaction and data challenges

  • Strong attention to detail across both visual and interaction design

  • Ability to work closely with engineers and understand implementation constraints

  • High ownership mentality and a desire to make fast, informed product decisions

  • Passion for decentralized finance and building in the open

Preferred

  • Familiarity with crypto/Web3 design patterns and user behaviors

  • Exposure to Solana or similar blockchain ecosystems
