Cyber Security Engineer
Responsibilities
- Constantly improve company security posture
- Act as SME for security logging and monitoring
- Build and operate the SIEM system. Build and improve correlation rules and alerts
- Participate in the vulnerability management program
- Proof of concept and implementation of commercial and open-source security tools
- Working with DevOps team to plug in security tools in CI/CD pipeline
- Take a significant role in the change management flow
- Participate in security incidents analysis and mitigations
- Own, maintain, and improve relevant technical documentation
Requirements
- 3+ years of previous working experience in cyber security role(s)
- Hands-on experience with building, configuring, and supporting SIEM – highly preferable w/ Splunk Enterprise, alternatively Elastic SIEM, AlienVault, or similar
- Feeling comfortable with regular expressions
- Hands-on experience with deployment and setup of Advanced Threat Protection (Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, etc.)
- Knowledge/experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure AD
- Hands-on experience with AWS (preferably). Alternatively Azure or GCP
- Knowledge and/or experience with: OpenVPN; Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB); Networking, IDS, IPS, firewalls, proxies, cloud controls – NSG/SG; Web Application Firewalls; DDoS & Bot protection; File Integrity Monitoring (FIM); Linux hardening (Mac OS will be a plus); Kubernetes and/or Docker; Mobile Device Management – inTune, JamF, zero-touch deployment
- Knowledge/experience of Terraform, AWS CDK or similar
- Experience in PCI/DSS and security certificates will be considered as pluses
