We are seeking Community Managers to engage with the Pyth developer and user community. Community managers serve as the public face of our organization, providing assistance, building relationships with protocols, and educating and entertaining our users. These activities take place across various online social channels (Discord, Twitter, Telegram, Medium) and real-world events like conferences and meetups.

Community managers also play a role in shaping the protocol's future. They actively engage with our users and the wider crypto space, leveraging their deep understanding to identify opportunities for potential partnerships and unmet product needs. In this way, community managers contribute to the growth of the entire Pyth Network ecosystem.

About Us and the Job

  • We are a small team, with approximately half of our members being technical.
  • Our team is mostly remote, spread across the US, Europe, and Asia. We do have offices in select locations (Porto, Chicago, London, Amsterdam, Singapore) for those who prefer in-office work.
  • English proficiency is essential, as our team communicates with each other and external developers in English.
  • Operating in the rapidly evolving DeFi ecosystem, we function like a startup and must adapt to meet market demands. Successful candidates will be flexible problem solvers who can quickly respond to changing circumstances.
  • Our success relies on external developers using our protocol. Strong candidates will be able to engage in intelligent conversations with technically-minded users and address their inquiries.
  • We offer competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package. In addition, eligible employees may participate in Pyth Network's employee incentive program, which includes token allocations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute growth strategies for the Pyth Network, including identifying opportunities to attract new users, developers, and protocols. Utilize marketing, educational activities, and communications to foster ecosystem growth.
  • Collaborate with external protocol users, as well as internal product, business, and marketing teams, to build a thriving ecosystem around Pyth Network. Understand and communicate the needs of protocols and publishers to internal team members.
  • Organize online and offline events and other activities to encourage ecosystem participation.
  • Provide support to Pyth Network users and address their questions across various communication channels such as Discord, Twitter, and Telegram.

Required Skills:

  • Passion for DeFi and a solid understanding of the crypto ecosystem. While you don't need to be an expert in all technical details, you should have an intermediate-level understanding to effectively communicate with our developers and users.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. You will be responsible for coordinating multiple projects and operations across various functions, from engineering to communications. Given the fast-paced nature of the crypto industry, it is crucial to stay on top of developments.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills. Responding to inquiries and producing blogs, tweets, and other written content for the community are key aspects of the role. Additionally, intermediate knowledge of graphic design applications will be helpful for creating visual content.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of Excel to create financial models is required.
  • Leadership qualities and a proactive approach, with experience managing projects or other planning-related duties. As a fast-paced remote team operating globally, top-down direction may not always be available. We expect you to take the initiative and make things happen.
  • Availability that can be relied upon and predictable.
